Hudson Street

Hudson Street Renovation:

Located in Chicago’s historic Triangle District, this single family residence was completely renovated.
This two story frame structure was originally built for Chicago’s working class, and was renovated in the 1980’s with many “Post Modern” details.

The current owners desire was to bring back much of the simple craftsman details that had been removed. The historic district has many guidelines regarding the exterior such as natural materials and true wood windows. The front facade was redone with double-hung windows, new entry door, and trim work that relates to the historic era of the original building. A new covered rear porch and mud room were added on the rear elevation and topped off with a standing seam copper roof.

Hermitage Residence

This new 4,400 square foot single family residence is located on the north side of Chicago.  The five bedroom home is designed for a growing family, that wanted spacious rooms and family gathering areas inside, but also has the open back yard for the children to play in while staying in the city limits of Chicago.

Burling Street Residences

This development consists of two single family residences located on Burling in Lincoln Park in Chicago. The homes are identical in plan, but mirrored when built. Each façade has its own features in order to give the homes the individuality along the street. There are three floors plus a basement that house the five bedrooms and six and a half baths. The third floor has a roof deck that has unobstructed views of the western sunsets.

West Cortland Ave. Residence

A two story single family residence located in Chicago’s Bucktown neighborhood is set on a corner site. The exterior is done with renaissance stone and limestone details. Multi-level limestone trim complements the dark stained natural wood windows and doors. All the first floor exterior doors are highlighted with limestone balusters.
